Sérgio and Odair Assad, the distinguished Brazilian duo-guitarist siblings, have a rhythmic surety and flawless command have that placed them at the pinnacle of their craft. They have also given a priceless gift to posterity by not only mastering their instrument’s repertory but expanding it. In this performance, The Brothers Assad explore brilliant works for guitar by celebrated composers such as Heitor Villa-Lobos, João Pernambuco, and Egberto Gismonti. The concert will also include a Latin Grammy Award-winning work by Sérgio Assad.
